To be sure, humor finds its way into sermons just like normal life, but it's not just entertainment. Even the crossword puzzle every week is intended to keep you engaged with the teaching to MAKE IT STICK.
LIKE A LONG-PLAY RECORD
Each sermon is consolidated during the following week to a 300-word sermonette. These three-minute sermons are sent by email to remind you of the salient points of the teaching. They are intended to help you CARRY THE MESSAGE WITH YOU through the week.

We take you right back to the relevant teaching that started the week. Sermons are planned to work through books of the Bible through expositional preaching to prepare you for all of life.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our Sunday services are at 10:30am. We usually finish up between 11:30 and noon. When you arrive, expect to see a smiling face at the door ready to greet you and help you find your way around. Grab a cup of coffee or tea to enjoy during the service.
No, there is no dress code. We want you to be comfortable to focus on the Lord, not what you are wearing, so please dress as you are.
A nursery is available for infants throughout the service. Kids Church is provided after corporate music for children ages 3 through 5th grade.
Our whole service is worship, but our music includes several modern praise songs, some older favorites, and at least one hymn each week. Strong teaching is important to us in our preaching and in our music. We want all we do to be meaningful.
We look to the Bible as our guide for doctrine. If there are questions from modern culture, we search for the way the Bible would answer modern culture. Beyond that, our established doctrinal statement can be found here.

One of the main things that sets us apart is our heart for the lost. We strive to be a witness in all we do whether that is to the person across the street or across the globe. In fact, 20% of our church budget is committed to outreach.
Each week, you are welcome to socialize and enjoy some refreshments after the service in the Friendship Center. To get to know you more, we'd love to have you fill out a Connection Card to keep in touch! Also, we have membership classes (aka. Pizza with the Pastor) three times each year.
